We’re thrilled to introduce Gurinsky Grillz, the dynamic team representing Gurinsky Jewelers at this year’s Texas Kosher BBQ Championship! With Ryan Foley as Pit Boss, Rachel Gurinsky as Team Manager, Sylvan Gurinsky as Assistant Pit Boss, Eleanor Gossen as the Bean Boss, and supported by Nathan and Camy Gurinsky from the “Moo Crew,” this team is ready to bring their A-game and compete for the top spot in the BBQ world.
Rachel Gurinsky – Team Manager
Married to the Pit Boss, her love of BBQ stems from her taste buds. While not being able to add a lot of “add more of this” expertise, she has watched many BBQ cooking competitions alongside her husband, Ryan, setting them up to manage the pressure that will be felt. Being a descendent of the multi-year Texas Kosher BBQ championship team, Kosher Frat Boy’z, continuing the legacy is of high importance. Morale support and time management is her specialty and her main role in this year’s competition.
Ryan Foley – Pit Boss
We’re excited to have Ryan Foley as the Pit Boss for Gurinsky Grillz! Ryan has recently married the love of his life, and the Gurinsky Grillz team manager, Rachel Gurinsky. Ryan’s passion for smoking meat comes from his family roots and deep love for Texas Barbecue. This is his first time at the Texas Kosher BBQ Championship and is looking to make big waves in his first competition!
Sylvan Gurinsky – Assistant Pit Boss
We’re excited to have Sylvan Gurinsky as the Assistant Pit Boss for Gurinsky Grillz! Sylvan’s passion for BBQing outdoors has been a lifelong journey, from backyard grilling to leading BBQ competitions like Sigma Alpha Mu’s annual Spring Cookoff. He’s no stranger to the Texas Kosher BBQ Championship, having volunteered with the Smokin’ J’s BBQ team in the past. This year, Sylvan is bringing his experience and love for BBQ to Gurinsky Grillz, representing his family’s legacy with Gurinsky Jewelers. With his sights set on a win, Sylvan is ready to take on the challenge and fire up the grill for an unforgettable competition!
Eleanor Gossen – The Bean Boss
New to the BBQ competition but having previously been a volunteer at the Kosher BBQ, Eleanor joins this year as the queen of beans! When not spinning her creative wheels behind the computer, Eleanor loves to get her creative ideas flowing by cooking and baking and is always excited for a new challenge in the kitchen, or in this case, grill! With her culinary skills on deck, she’s sure to have the extra ingredient to take Gurinsky Grillz to the top of the podium!
Camy & Nathan Gurinsky – “The Moo Crew”
Nate and Camy Gurinsky are coming in from Bossier City, LA to join the Gurinsky Grillz team at the 9th Annual Texas Kosher BBQ Championship! As “The Moo Crew” (aka team promoters, hosts, servers, and any other job that needs to get done), they are ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute alongside their family. With their love for hosting and enjoying BBQ, they believe that this passion will be the secret ingredient to securing that 1st place win. They’re excited to be part of this year’s sizzling competition!
